committed to the game....

For the last couple of days or maybe weeks, we've been fed with world cup advertisements on the idiot box as well as at those mega huge billboards on the highways. I totally understand that maxis & astro are harping on the world cup to make extra millions from the malaysian public(talking about monopoly eh)...Well, the fact remains that Astro is the only one giving us those services(all 64 games live in HD).... Just like what Sky did in the UK. Anyhoos, the purpose of my writing today is to highlight an advertisement by Maxis titled Committed TO the Game.

On these advertisements presented by Maxis, they show us past Malaysian legends such as Hassan Sani, James Wong, Soh Chin Aun and Santokh Singh. When talking about these legends, I can still vividly remember the day when dad and I went to a match in Stadium Merdeke in the mid 80s watching the national team played against the mighty South Korea. We could match them those days. Seriously...no kidding....we could actually match them those days....Of course, the timing of such advertisement is rather good as it's very near to the world cup...

Talking about the world cup, I still hope & pray one day that we could see our national team play in the world cup. Well, obviously, a hope will remain as it is...a hope unless something is done to make this dream a reality. I guess, with them winning the SEA games recently, they have taken the right path towards that dream. Nothing wrong about dreaming but they need to be working very hard to go there. The feeling must be fantastic to see our national anthem being played where billions of people can hear. To actually see our players wear those black and yellow stripes full of passion pride and ready to die for it. Perhaps, they should be targeting in getting to the Asia Cup first before even thinking of going to the world cups. Heheheh

Give this website a visit and you'll get what I'm trying to say.
